Nova Flakes Starter Kit

The mixing ratio of Primer NP2450 is 2 parts Base to 1 part Activator by volume.
Pre-mix the Base at low speed for 1 minute. Pour the base into a 2- to 5-gallon mixing container. If you are adding pigment, mix E-Tint into the Base. Then, add the Activator and mix for three minutes until you have a uniform mixture. Do not mix more material than you can apply in 10 to 15 minutes (the material will begin to harden or become sticky).
Immediately pour all of the mixed NP2450 Primer onto the floor in a continuous line approximately 8 to 12 inches wide. Do not attempt to spread the material directly from the bucket or a roller tray.
Wearing spiked shoes, evenly distribute a 3- to 8-mil thickness of primer by pushing a flat trowel or metal spring knife along the material line. Overlap previous passes to ensure the concrete pores are filled. A thin, tight coat of primer applied without rolling is the best way to minimize gas emission bubbles.
If rolling is required, use a 3/8” fiber-free roller and roll evenly over the trowel strokes to minimize application lines and leave a consistent film thickness.
After the NP2450 Primer has cured, apply the remaining material to achieve a total thickness of 16 mils, resulting in a moisture vapor transmission tolerance of up to 12 pounds. Use a flat or notched trowel to spread the material and then roll it to reduce trowel lines and level the surface.
For a random or full application, the background of the applied Primer NP2450 can be seen before spreading the chip. Use Primer NP2450 tinted the same color as one of the chip flake colors in the mix.

Immediately after mixing the chip-receiving material, pour it onto the floor in a tape for the base course. Apply at a coverage rate of 134–160 square feet per gallon for a wet film thickness of 10–12 mils using a notched trowel. Push the trowel in the same direction as the tape, at a slight angle to move excess material to the side. Moving parallel to the first pass, overlap and continue moving the material down into the floor. Run a 3/8-inch fiber-free roller over the trowel passes to level.
Immediately sprinkle the Flakes onto the uncured resin. Toss the chip flakes upwards to spread them evenly. If the application is to be complete, continue adding flakes until the resin is fully coated.
Note: Do not spill or allow flakes to accumulate on the floor.
Once the coating layer under the chip has hardened sufficiently to be walkable, remove any loose or excess flakes from the surface. Seal the flakes with a layer of Polyaspartic NY2430 grout.
Apply at a coverage rate of 100-160 ft² per gallon to achieve a wet film thickness of 10-16 mils, using a trowel and rolling with a 3/8" fiber-free roller for a uniform finish.
In hot or humid conditions, apply using an 18” roller with the dip and application method from a roller tray, as heat and humidity reduce the working time of the material.
This material will cure faster with exposure to moisture in the air.
To avoid visible differences in texture or joints between mixtures, do not exceed 5-10 minutes between one mixture and another.
Use the joints as natural divisions to section the floor.
If less texture is desired on a floor spread with aggregate, apply a second coat of 6–8 mils (no more than 200 sq ft per gallon) over the previous coat within 24 hours. Applying thicker than recommended, allowing the material to pool, or rolling it after it has begun to set may result in a white or hazy appearance.

JODVANA warrants that this product is free from material defects that affect its performance for a period of one year (from the date of purchase). JODVANA will replace, free of charge, the amount of coating that JODVANA determines has not performed, as the sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of this warranty and/or any other defect or failure of the coating. Proof of purchase is required. Labor costs for the application of any particular product are excluded. The warranty is void if JODVANA products are mixed or used in conjunction with materials that are substituted for JODVANA products. The warranty is not transferable.

If the local delivery option does not appear during checkout, your order is not eligible for local delivery.

Orders eligible for local delivery placed before 12 pm during our business hours of 9 am to 5 pm will be delivered the same day. Orders placed outside of these hours will be delivered the next day we are open.

Orders are generally shipped within 24 hours using FedEx . There is no flat shipping rate for orders shipped to locations outside the local region. We currently do not ship outside the United States.
